About Health Concepts Services
Health Concepts, Inc. was founded in 1987 with the formation of Health Concepts Inc., a medical communications and marketing company.
In 1997, Robert and Dennis Crimi joined forces to create medical device distributor Health Concepts Partners, Inc. The decision to form the business was based on the synergy resulting from Rob and Dennis’ healthcare experience. Rob was an award-winning sales rep with Ethicon EndoSurgery and Dennis was a senior executive at NYC’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
When Brad Crimi joined HCP in 2004 as a sales rep, the ground was laid for Health Concepts’ next venture. Our client and partner Aesculap Instrument Services decided to offer instrument repair services in Metro New York and chose HCP as its representative. This was the impetus for Health Concepts to expand its reach.
The preponderance of instrument repair at that time was performed in mobile vans. Our group analyzed the logistics of instrument repair and concluded that the New York market’s extremely dense population of large hospitals would be best served by a centrally located repair facility with same day pick-up, repair and delivery. Not only would this enable economies of scale, but it could provide a quality and breadth of services heretofore unattainable in a mobile van. Health Concepts Services (HCS) was born with Brad Crimi as its president.
HCS and Aesculap have grown to be one of the largest medical device repair providers in the NY area. We represent many of the largest and most prestigious medical centers in the market. Since then, HCS has broadened its scope with the addition of nationally acclaimed companies that it now represents.
